Frequently Asked Questions

How does verification work?

Every trader must submit documentation proving they have passed a real funded evaluation (TopStep, Apex, FTMO, etc.). Our team manually reviews each submission. Only traders with verified funded accounts can post picks or accept subscribers. This ensures you are only following traders who have proven they can trade profitably under real prop firm rules.

What are the platform fees?

Platform fees are tiered based on a trader's monthly gross revenue. The default fee is 15% for traders under $5k/month. As revenue grows, fees decrease: 12% over $5k/mo, 10% over $20k/mo, and 8% over $50k/mo. Fees are automatically adjusted each billing cycle. Subscribers pay the listed plan price with no additional platform charges.

How do I cancel?

You can cancel any subscription at any time from your dashboard or billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period -- you will continue to receive signals until then. No questions asked, no cancellation fees. You can also manage your billing directly through Stripe's secure billing portal.

How do SMS alerts work?

When a trader you subscribe to posts a new pick, you receive an SMS within seconds via Twilio. The alert includes the instrument, direction, entry price, stop loss, targets, contracts, and the trader's challenge context note. You also receive a follow-up SMS when the pick hits a target, gets stopped out, is scratched, or expires. This two-phase alert system ensures you are never left holding a position the trader has already exited.

Can I use signals in my prop firm challenge?

Most prop firms allow the use of third-party signals and trade ideas, but policies vary. TopStep, Apex, and most firms permit it as long as you are the one placing the trades. FTMO has specific rules around copy trading. We recommend reviewing your prop firm's terms of service before following any signals. Every pick on SixSigmaTraders includes prop-firm-specific context to help you stay within your challenge rules.

What's the difference between AI and human signals?

AI signals ("Trade with the Bots") are algorithmically generated using a 10-indicator engine that fires only when 6 or more indicators align in the same direction (the Six Sigma threshold). They use Yahoo Finance data with a ~30-second delay for futures. Human signals ("Trade with a Pro") come from verified funded traders posting from their live trading platforms in real time -- no data delay. Human signals also include personal challenge context and strategy notes that AI cannot provide.

How are win rates calculated?

Win rates are calculated from a trader's entire pick history on the platform. A pick is counted as a win if it hits Target 1 or higher. Stopped out and expired picks count as losses. Scratched picks (exited at or near breakeven) are excluded from the calculation. All stats are transparent and based on verified, timestamped pick data -- traders cannot edit or delete past picks.

What happens if a trader doesn't update a pick?

Every pick has a validity window (30 minutes to 3 hours, set by the trader at posting time). If a trader has not updated the pick status before the validity window expires, the system automatically marks the pick as "expired" and sends an expiry SMS to all subscribers. This protects you from stale signals and incentivizes traders to actively manage their picks.

Do you support TopStep/Apex/FTMO?

Yes. SixSigmaTraders supports traders from all major prop firms including TopStep, Apex, PitBull, FTMO, My Funded Futures, Earn2Trade, and Tradeify. Each trader's profile shows which firm they are verified with and their account size. Pick cards include prop-firm-specific context so subscribers can adapt signals to their own challenge rules and position sizing requirements.

Is there a free tier?

Yes. AI signals on the "Trade with the Bots" panel are free to browse -- no account required. Many traders also offer free picks to showcase their style before you subscribe to a paid plan. You can also browse all trader profiles, stats, and free picks without subscribing. Paid subscriptions unlock a trader's full pick feed and SMS alerts.
